Crisp, spicy fries with a Wahala twist on Cajun-style seasoning. Pepper Blend brings peppery heat; Suya Blend gives you a smoky, nutty variation.
What you need
- 1 lb plain frozen fries (regular or sweet potato)
- 1–2 tsp Wahala Pepper Blend, plus more to taste
- Salt to taste (use less if your fries are already salted)
- 1 tsp neutral oil, only if needed to help the seasoning stick
How to make it
- Cook the fries in the oven or air fryer according to the package instructions until golden and crisp. Spread them out and cook in batches if needed.
- Transfer the hot fries to a large bowl. Salt lightly, tasting first if the fries are already salted.
- Add Wahala after cooking. Start with 1 tsp Pepper Blend and toss well. If the fries are dry, toss with a little oil first so the seasoning clings.
- Taste and add up to another teaspoon of Wahala, or more to suit your heat preference.
- Serve immediately while crisp. Keep a little extra Wahala on the side for dipping.
Make the finish count.
For the clearest flavor, add Wahala after cooking. Finish with one more shake before serving.
Allergen note: Suya Blend contains peanuts. Pepper Blend is made without peanuts but in a facility that contains peanuts. Combining the blends adds peanuts.
